PATAC - Philippine Advancement Through Arts and Culture. It is a federally registered non-profit that aims to promote the arts and culture of the Philippines as well as help children in the Philippines who are affected by man-made and natural disasters. One of the activities of PATAC is to raise funds for the child participants of Children Rehabilitation Centre. The recent super typhoon Rai has devastated a great part of Visayas and Mindanao.

The Task Force Children of the Storm (TFCOS) is a consortium of five child-focused organizations and institutions that came together for the purpose of providing assistance to disaster-stricken communities and children. Children Rehabilitation Center has been PATAC’s partner in the Philippines since 2007. It is a member of TFCOS.  CRC was founded in 1988, and is accredited by the Department of Social Welfare Development (DSWD) as a community-based and family welfare agency. It has projects in Luzon and Mindanao. PATAC has supported their art therapy program, children’s activities and, more recently, storms and COVID19 relief operations. TFCOS, on the other hand, was formed in 2009, during typhoon Ondoy’s onslaught. It has already provided relief operations, medical missions, and psychosocial intervention to victims of disasters, especially children who are most vulnerable during such times. Tulong-Paslit (Help a Child) project aims to help children and their families hit by the COVID19 pandemic and typhoon disasters.

I am hoping you will share your blessings to the poor vulnerable  children of the Storm in the Philippines.
